Security Concerns Lead to Suspension of Shipping Services in the Red Sea and Suez Canal
Dec. 18, 2023
Customer Advisory
To our valued customers,
In response to a series of attacks on commercial vessels in the recent days, major shipping companies, including Mediterranean Shipping Company, Maersk, CMA CGM and Hapag Lloyd, have decided to suspend voyages through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal.
As a consequence of the above, services may be re-routed (e.g. to go via the Cape of Good Hope), transit times might be extended and current rates and surcharges might be impacted.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates when available.
If you have any questions or require assistance, please contact your local representative for further information.
