KWE France, Event transport specialist, has been challenged by a FCL export transport of 20’ dry 1.4G from France to Abidjan (Ivory Coast) from shipper Grand Final for Event key player: Richard Attias.
BOCS was the only carrier accepting this container but from Rouen port where KWE France has no structure.
The implementation was done in very short time for vessel departure early December requiring our customs agent to go on site for official paperwork customs visit.
Once container arrived at port a few days before vessel departure to minimize container Yard onsite storage as per hazardous commodity, Shipping line announced vessel delay.
Port authority asked the container to exit terminal. As per no storage place found or accepted around, container was trucked back to shipper.
After container being accepted to be delivered back to port, customs green light came after vessel cut off and 20’ remained on the container yard.
KWE operation was in direct contact with port stakeholders and carrier: They were successful in getting dockers come back and load the 20’ on the vessel. This case study highlight the complexity of Event logistics.
Kudos to the KWE FR teamwork and determination who successfully resolve the situation, ensuring major sport event opening ceremony show to kick off.
