KWE’s Actions in response to a State of Emergency in Japan
Apr. 8, 2020
Information
The Japanese government has declared a state of emergency for seven prefectures including Tokyo and Osaka on April 7, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
KWE recognizes that the continued health and safety of our staff and their families are of utmost importance as we work to ensure the uninterrupted supply chain for our customers based on our group BCP (Business Continuity Plan) activated in early February 2020.
In each workplace, we take the best possible measures to minimize the risk of infection according to the policies and guidelines provided by the government and local authorities and we promote a variable working hour system, remote working and paid time leave to the fullest extent from the viewpoint of the BCP.
We are working together as a group to minimize the impact on our customers’ supply chains. We want to thank everyone at KWE involved in our COVID-19 response efforts, as well as our customers as we continue to work together in a very difficult time.
