Establishment of Group Procurement Center

-Fusion of KWE’s and APLL’s know-how on sea freight business-

Kintetsu World Express, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as KWE) and APL Logistics Ltd , that became a consolidated subsidiary of KWE and its group companies, (hereinafter referred to as APLL) will establish a “Group Procurement Center” in Hong Kong.

In line with the Group’s Medium-Term Management Plan, the joint effort will combine the know-how from KWE and APLL to maximize sea freight procurement synergies and carrier relations. It will also serve as a contact for global sea freight projects and provide sales support in a cross-organizational manner.

Through the establishment of the Group Procurement Center, we will combine KWE’s and APLL’s expertise in the sea freight business, optimize the Group’s procurement operations for sea freight, and enhance the structure to support sales with the aim of increasing the handling volume of the entire Group.
