KWE China’s New Air Import Warehouse in Shanghai
Kintetsu World Express (China) Co., Ltd. (Hiroshi Hiranuma, Managing Director, hereinafter; “KWE China”) announced that it has established a new air import warehouse in Shanghai.
The warehouse is located in a corner of the No 1 Customs Supervision Area 3 km from Shanghai Pudong Airport. From the truck entrance the overall image is KWE’s signature blue color, thus the name KWE Blue Box, or KBX for short.
Freight that arrives at Shanghai Pudong Airport, except for special items such as dangerous goods or refrigerated cargo, starts import customs clearance once it has been confirmed to have arrived at the forwarder’s warehouse inside the customs supervision area after forwarding from the airline warehouse. That is why warehouse functionality and operational quality have such a significant impact on air import services in Shanghai. The move to the new warehouse has improved functionality and quality even higher than before.
Warehouse fact:
- The new warehouse space is about 9,000m²,1.7 times larger than the old warehouse
- Installing movable racks for small cargo and rack storage area wider
- Installing ULD work station
The new air import warehouse is now handling freight arriving from every origin in a timely way with 24/364 operations. KWE will continue to further improve the operation quality in order to provide the optimal logistics services for each customer and expand our business.
