KWEChina and SKL awarded by Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone Administration

Kintetsu World Express (China) Co., Ltd. (Hiroshi Hiranuma, Managing Director; hereinafter, “KWE China”) and Shanghai Kintetsu Logistics Co.,Ltd. (Yasuhiko Kato, Managing Director; hereinafter, “SKL”) , a local subsidiary of Kintetsu World Express Inc. (Nobutoshi Torii, President and CEO), were awarded as excellent companies which contributed to the development of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone at the ceremony of the 30 years anniversary of Shanghai Free Trade Zone on 9 December, 2020.

Shanghai Free Trade Zone has celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2020 since the first Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone was established in 1990.

The China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone is a regional free trade zone founded on Sept 29, 2013 and originally consisted of the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, Waigaoqiao Free Trade Logistics Park, Yangshan Free Trade Port Area and Pudong Airport Free Trade Zone. Today, tens of thousands of companies maintain business activities in these combined areas.

This time, a total of 50 global companies were recognized as outstanding contributors of Free Trade Zone business, and KWE China and SKL were commended as one of them. Furthermore, Mr. Hiroshi Hiranuma / President of KWE China and Mr. Liu Fang / Director of SKL were also awarded as the excellent entrepreneurs in the Free Trade Zone.

Both KWE China and SKL were also awarded as Top 100 economical contribution companies in 2019 in the export and import category (35 companies were selected in that category).
