Service Expansion from Southeast Asia to North America
ASEAN-Rickenbacker Sky-Bridge
Jul. 12, 2021
News Release
Kintetsu World Express expands consolidated charter services to North America with an additional transfer hub and greater service frequency from some of the most in-demand origins throughout Southeast Asia.
Service Overview and Features
The ASEAN-Rickenbacker Sky-Bridge is a multi-origin charter service from Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Indonesia to Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK) via consolidation hubs in Incheon International Airport (ICN) and Dubai International Airport (DXB).
Leveraging established Block Space Agreements (BSAs) with trusted airline partners, our consol gateway capacity is secured and managed with strategically placed control towers, with dedicated passenger-converted freighter service to LCK and last-mile support on arrival.
Background of Product Development
Ongoing traveler restrictions and modal shifts in shipping trends have resulted in substantially fewer direct cargo flights and reduced passenger-belly capacity from Southeast Asia to North America. Demand for U.S.-bound air transport is expected to increase with the onset of late-summer peak season. To address this deficit, the Sky-Bridge service was developed to provide consistent passage with greater accessibility across all industry sectors.
