KWE Participates in the Narita Airport Community’s Second Round to Obtain CEIV Pharma Certification

Kintetsu World Express Inc. (Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan) participates in the induction of the second Narita Airport Community sponsored by the Narita International Airport to acquire CEIV Pharma Certification.

The CEIV Pharma Certification (The Center of Excellence for Independent Values in Pharmaceutical Logistics) is a quality certification system for the air transport of pharmaceuticals developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and is equivalent to the Good Distribution Practices (GDP) certification for pharmaceutical logistics. This certification standard is part of IATA’s efforts to build a supply chain with high transportation quality—ensuring safety, security, compliance, and efficiency.

The Narita Airport Community was formed in September 2019 by the Narita International Airport’s operating authority. Nine companies initially participated in this community and attained joint CEIV Pharma certification in March 2021. KWE joins five other companies as the second wave of corporate participants training to obtain their certifications.
