KWE Taiwan Acquires Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Certification
The KWE Group is pleased to announce that our local subsidiary in Taiwan— Kintetsu World Express (Taiwan), Inc. (hereinafter KWE Taiwan)— has acquired the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) quality certification for pharmaceutical logistics, becoming the ninth KWE member to do so*.
The certification was obtained through Taiwan’s Food and Drug Administration to diversify KWE's provision of import, export, and storage services at the Taoyuan FTZ/ILC Terminal (hereinafter KWE Taoyuan Terminal 2), located within Taoyuan International Airport’s Free Trade Zone (FTZ). With it, KWE also becomes the first FTZ tenant company within the premises to incorporate standardized pharmaceutical distribution.
KWE Taoyuan Terminal 2 is a 38,000 m2 cargo facility outfitted with frozen and refrigerated storage solutions, and electronically maintains the ambient temperature of its premises at 20℃ (±3℃), utilizing insect repellent technology to maintain a sanitary environment suitable for pharmaceuticals. When jointly utilized with our refrigerated transport fulfillment services, an unbroken cold-chain—compliant to quality standards for pharmaceutical goods—can be implemented and managed optimally.
Thanks to this achievement, KWE Taiwan can also offer more powerful logistics solutions within the FTZ such as bonded and non-resident inventory management, consignment processing logistics, and spoke-hub distribution, further expanding service coverage for our clients.
The KWE Group will continue to pursue quality improvement and service expansion to better address the needs of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare field.
