Kintetsu World Express (India) Pvt. Ltd. Receives Certification to Handle Medical Devices (ISO 13485)

On June 21, 2022, Kintetsu World Express (India) Pvt. Ltd. was granted ISO 13485 certification for its logistics facility based in Bangalore, becoming the fourth member company (after KWE branches in Singapore, Japan, and China) to handle medical devices within the industry’s statutory and regulatory requirements.

In prior years, KWE India received accreditations for the quality management of business operations (ISO 9001), workplace and environment standards (ISO 14001), and occupational health and safety (ISO 45001).

A project team was formed in December 2021 to prepare for ISO 13485 certification, which in turn has produced new industry-compliant workflows and policies.
