KWE Benelux Commences Full Operations at New Schiphol Warehouse

Kintetsu World Express, Inc. (Head Office: Tokyo, Japan) is pleased to announce that its Benelux subsidiary, Kintetsu World Express (Benelux) B.V. (KWE Benelux), has officially commenced bonded warehouse operations at its newly constructed facility in the southern cargo district of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport as of October 8, 2025, following the gradual start of warehouse operations in April 2025.

The new warehouse is strategically located near major ground handling facilities such as Swissport, WFS, and dnata, offering excellent accessibility and enhanced operational efficiency for air cargo handling. By internalizing the Container Freight Station (CFS) operations that were previously outsourced, KWE Benelux is now able to conduct in-house Unit Load Device (ULD) build-up and breakdown, significantly improving operational quality, flexibility, and lead time.

Furthermore, KWE is placing an increased focus on high-value cargo segments, including medical and pharmaceutical products as well as perishable goods. The new facility is scheduled to obtain TAPA-A certification, the highest security standard in the logistics industry, and leverages a 1,500㎡ temperature-controlled warehouse located in Westport— approximately 15 kilometers from Schiphol Airport— to support temperature-sensitive cargo. These capabilities ensure a secure and reliable logistics environment that meets the diverse needs of our customers.

The launch of this new facility marks an important milestone in strengthening KWE’s function as a key logistics hub in Europe and expanding the range of logistics solutions offered to customers.
