Customer Advisory: U.S. Compliance Update
- The S. Department of the Interior, through the U.S. Geological Survey, published the final 2025 List of Critical Minerals, outlining 60 minerals vital to the U.S. economy and national security that face potential risks from disrupted supply chains. The list shows ten more critical minerals could be subject to Section 232 tariffs: boron, copper, lead, metallurgical coal, phosphate, potash, rhenium, silicon, silver, uranium -based on new data, public feedback and interagency recommendations. The 2025 List marks the third List since the effort began under a 2017 Executive Order (EO 13817) directing federal agencies to strengthen mineral security.
- CPSC’s Product Registry Training Videos - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Product Registry is a secure online application where importers can store and manage their product certificate data to transmit Reference PGA Message Sets to S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)’s ACE system at the time of entry. The registry serves as a stand-alone central data repository and does not communicate with CBP’s ACE system. Self-registration is currently open and accepting new participants and the Registry will close once the 2,000-participant limit is reached, in accordance with the limitations outlined in the Federal Register Notice.

- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued a proposed rule for amendments to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) regulation for reporting and recordkeeping requirements for perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Comments due by December 29, 2025.
- CBP to Deploy Cutting Edge Technology for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Enforcement and strengthen their ability to identify counterfeit goods at the border. The Alliance for Gray Market & Counterfeit Abatement (AGMA), a nonprofit coalition of leading technology companies, distributors, and service providers, has entered into an agreement with CBP to donate advanced “One Device” smartphones through CBP’s Donations Acceptance Program and provide training needed for deployment.
