- 25% Sec.301 Tariffs on Certain Brazilian Products Starting July 22
USTR had published FR notice announcing the initiation of a Sec301 investigation. On Jun.1, 2026, the USTR determined that certain of Brazil’s acts, policies, and practices at issue in this investigation were actionable under Sec.301(b) and Sec.304(a) of the Trade Act; Over 360 written submissions were received and the USTR and Sec.301 Committee held a two-day public hearing on July 6–7, 2026. On July 15, 2026, after considering and taking into account the information and advice provided by the USTR, Pres. Trump issued a memorandum directing that: (a) USTR impose a tariff of 25 percent on all goods of Brazil identified in Annex I, pg.28, with exemptions for certain goods as discussed in subsection (b) of this section identified in the Annex II, pg.42 to this memorandum. - CIT to Order CBP to Reliquidate – “certain" finally liquidated entries in about 3,700 cases (ref. pg.2), before CAPE Phase 3
