Accelerating Decarbonization Through SAF
KWE has been actively promoting the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as part of its commitment to decarbonizing air freight transportation. Since KWE participated in Japan's first SAF utilization program in 2021, we have expanded our initiatives through partnerships with multiple airlines and customers, supporting customers' decarbonization efforts and contributing to the wider adoption of SAF.
What is SAF?
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is an alternative aviation fuel produced from sustainable feedstocks such as used cooking oil and biomass.
Compared with conventional jet fuel, SAF can reduce lifecycle CO₂ emissions by approximately 80%, making it one of the most effective solutions for decarbonizing the aviation industry.
