Why SAF?
What is SAF?
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is an alternative aviation fuel produced from sustainable feedstocks such as used cooking oil and biomass.
Compared with conventional jet fuel, SAF can reduce lifecycle CO₂ emissions by approximately 80%, making it one of the most effective solutions for decarbonizing the aviation industry.
Currently, SAF accounts for less than 1% of the global aviation fuel supply. Expanding its use requires collaboration across the entire supply chain, including airlines, shippers, and freight forwarders.
For this reason, SAF is expected to play a vital role in reducing carbon emissions from air freight transportation.
