Enhancing Our Business Competitiveness and Brand Value
Building on the "on-site capabilities" and "customer-first mindset" that have defined our company since its founding, we place sustainability at the core of our business strategy and continue to strengthen our initiatives on a global scale.
Progress to Date and Current Challenges
It has been approximately four years since our Group began fully integrating sustainability into our operations, and understanding and engagement have steadily expanded both within and outside the company. Internally, training and educational programs have led to an increase in frontline-driven initiatives, helping to spread sustainability activities across the entire Group. Externally, growing interest in ESG among our customers and business partners has strengthened the foundation for collaboration, including efforts to reduce emissions through industry partnerships.
At the same time, challenges remain. In particular, effective measures for Scope 3 reduction are still largely limited to biofuels such as SAF, making it essential to broaden available options and enhance institutional support. Furthermore, as global expectations for disclosure continue to rise, building a reliable data collection and reporting system has become an urgent priority.
Advancing Initiatives Based on Our Materiality
To enhance corporate value, our Group is reinforcing initiatives aligned with each of our materiality themes, aiming to balance both business growth and sustainability. In the environmental field, we are promoting the broader adoption of SAF, introducing EV trucks, and obtaining SBTi validation for our GHG reduction targets--steps that advance decarbonization through technological implementation and industry collaboration.
In data security, we are strengthening preventive measures and continuing employee training in response to a cyberattack that occurred in FY2025, working to build a more robust information management framework.
For diversity and equal opportunity, we are formulating guidelines and action plans based on our global policy and implementing initiatives tailored to regional needs.
Regarding social impacts within the supply chain, we have launched human rights due diligence based on our Human Rights Policy and are accelerating risk assessments and corrective actions both domestically and internationally. Additionally, in the area of anti-corruption, we continue to provide training to ensure the effectiveness of our global whistleblowing system and to foster a strong compliance culture. Through these efforts, we are building a structure that supports both business growth and the resolution of societal challenges.
Our Group will continue advancing initiatives aligned with these materiality themes, strengthening our efforts to achieve both business growth and progress on social issues. We remain committed to meeting stakeholder expectations and to driving sustainable growth and enhanced corporate value. We sincerely appreciate your continued support.
