CBP Intends to have IEEPA Refund Processing Capability ACE ready by Jun.29
CAPE (Consolidated Administration & Processing of Entries) was developed under court orders from the U.S. Court of International Trade (CIT) to address the large-scale refund of IEEPA duties - over $166 billion paid on more than 53 million entries - that were collected without legal justification. CIT directed CBP to create an automated mechanism to process these refunds efficiently, to avoid the slow, entry-by-entry approach. This is it!
