A globally recognized smartphone brand issued an urgent request to transport a large order of electronics components from central China to Tokyo, emphasizing the need to move as much as possible within a weeklong timeline to meet their forthcoming product launch--essentially 72 hours between booking confirmation and the estimated time of departure.
Our Solution
To meet the client's deadline, KWE's head office immediately arranged to book a full B747 chartered flight within hours of receiving the order. Prior shipping analysis and consultation with vertical specialists measured loading arrangements for over 300 pallets, a total weight of 97,200 kgs. Maximizing capacity utilization with respect to cargo limits, all pallets were successfully loaded via 12 Main Deck and 21 Lower Deck ULDs--98.5% of the aircraft's maximum payload.
The Results
The chartered flight departed on schedule at 3:00 AM and was shortly received by KWE handling agents based in Tokyo's airport terminals, who summarily inspected shipments for damage and provided last-mile delivery to our client. With their local inventory reinforced, the client's product launch was uninterrupted by supply deficits, sustaining their sales growth throughout the country.
