Their Challenge
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 heavily impacted Chinese production and US supply chains as passenger air services from Asian origins to Dallas-Fort Worth and Atlanta came to a virtual halt, draining the market of its belly-hold capacity. Even as factories resumed under socially distanced protocols, the retail industry faced a growing transport bottleneck that threatened its logistic integrity--terminal congestion and vessel delays posed imminent challenges for several clients.
Our Solution
KWE's existing Block Space Agreements (BSA) with partnered airlines have facilitated uplift from major Asian hubs over the past decade, utilizing our Los Angeles gateway to transload cargo destined for distribution centers across the Southern States. Using set scheduled trailers and Full Truck Load (FTL) charters, our retail vertical specialists were able to coordinate shipments through our Dallas-Fort Worth and Atlanta branches and ultimately to our clients' distribution centers without compromising lead time performance.
The Results
KWE continues to deliver shipments to customers' distribution centers several times a week, on time, all the time.
