External Notice: Potential Strike Action by ILWU Against DP World (Canada) Inc.

Attention all stakeholders,

We have been informed that the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) has issued a 72-hour strike notice against DP World (Canada) Inc. The strike could commence as early as July 8th at approximately 4:30pm.

The strike action specifically targets DP World (Canada) Inc., the terminal operator at the following container terminals on the BC Coast:

  • Vancouver Port - Centerm
  • Fraser Surrey
  • Prince Rupert Port - Prince Rupert Terminal

As of the latest update, there are no indications of strike actions affecting other terminal operations such as Deltaport and Vanterm.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as they become available.
