- Automated Export System (AES) updated to accept Schedule B changes by the Census Bureau. Although effective January 1, 2026, outdated codes will be accepted during a 30-day grace period. Following this period, the outdated code will result in a fatal error.
- European Commission updates list of ICS2 Stop Words - deemed to indicate insufficient data quality in Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) and could lead to automatic filing rejections under Import Control System 2 (ICS2). Refer to International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) Global Shippers Forum Guidance Note.

- Need to file a Lacey Act declaration? As of January 1, 2026, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is no longer accepting paper submissions of the Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) 505 or 505B form. Filers who have submitted paper declarations in the past will now need to file via the S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) access or APHIS’ Lacey Act Web Governance System.

Note that only commodities, software, technology, and activities subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Title 15 of the Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.), parts 730–774, should be included on SNAP-R submissions.
