Customer Advisory: U.S. Compliance Advisory
- An Executive Order issued by President Trump under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), the National Emergencies Act (NEA), and Section 301 establishes a tariff system imposing an additional ad valorem duty on imports of goods that are products of a country that directly or indirectly sells or otherwise provides oil to Cuba. The duty rate will be determined based on findings by the Secretaries of State and Commerce and will be effective January 30, 2026.
- The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will host a webinar on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. ET titled Wood Packaging Materials (WPM): Navigating Compliance. The session will provide a detailed walkthrough of the steps stakeholders should follow upon receipt of an Emergency Action Notification (EAN). CBP and APHIS subject matter experts will guide participants through each phase of the response and resolution process, from initial notification to final outcomes. Registered participants will receive the access link the day prior to the event; attendance first comes, first served basis.

- Forced Labor Portal Overview Webinar, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. ET, to train users on the usage of the new Forced Labor Portal, which launched on January 21, 2026.
- S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) receives a petition requesting that all ingredients with gluten be listed by name in the ingredient list and issues a Request for Comments (RFC) on the issues raised.
- CBP issues Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #67513690, a reminder on the Interim Rule mandating refunds to be issued electronically starting February 6, 2026. Refer to the FAQ page on this new initiative.
