Operational Impact Following Security Incidents in Mexico
Recent security incidents in Mexico, including riots and road blockages following a federal operation in the state of Jalisco, have resulted in localized disruptions to transportation and logistics activities. Certain airport operations and domestic trucking services, particularly in and around Guadalajara (GDL), are experiencing impacts.
Current Situation
- Riots and road blockages in Jalisco and neighboring states are affecting domestic pickup and delivery services.
- Guadalajara Airport (GDL) is operational; however, some flight cancellations and bonded trucking suspensions (LAX–GDL) have been reported.
- Mexico City (MEX), Felipe Ángeles (NLU), and Monterrey (MTY) airports are operating normally.
- Manzanillo Port (MXZLO) terminals are currently operational, though inland trucking to/from the port may be delayed due to road conditions in affected regions.
- While KWE Mexico’s headquarters in Mexico City is operating normally at this time, certain branch offices in impacted areas are temporarily closed, with employees working remotely to ensure continuity of service, including:
- Guadalajara Branch
- Aguascalientes Sales Office
- León Sales Office
- Irapuato Sales Office
- Querétaro Sales Office
Kintetsu World Express (KWE) is closely monitoring the situation and maintaining regular communication with local teams and service providers.
