Kazuki joined Kintetsu World Express in 2014 after earning a degree in economics. He was assigned to the Nihonbashi Export Sales Office to work on new and expanded sales of air freight. After spending four years in air freight sales, he moved to the Sumida Export Sales Office, the core sales office for sea freight. Now he is busily engaged in expanding sea freight volume as the paper and pulp team sales leader.

The Sumida Export Sales Office, where I work, is KWE Japan's core sales office for sea freight. Our mission is to increase sea freight volume for the whole KWE Group. Our target customers are primarily major Japan-based manufacturers in the raw material industry. Historically, most of them have always contracted directly with ocean carriers for shipment. My sales team has the goal of developing those potential customers in the paper and pulp industry, which are especially large scale in terms of freight volume. As society moves ahead on going paperless and ecommerce demand and demand for hygiene products are increasing, the rapid rebuilding of the pulp and paper industry's SCM worldwide is in the spot light. I will continue contributing to KWE Group performance by offering customers KWE's unique transport services and careful last-mile support, which ocean carriers that are responsible for transport only from the origin to the destination port cannot provide.

What makes KWE special is the framework and culture that provides complete support to people who actively take on the challenge of new industries and new customers. Everyone has an equal chance, and those who have the motivation and want to act on their own initiative are given the work. This makes the job really worth doing. In order for KWE to become a global brand born in Japan, we need to increase sea freight volume, which has a lot of room for growth. The realization every day that my KWE operations, sales, and marketing colleagues around the world are acting as a team to accomplish that is the driving force behind my work in sales. I'll be working to increase sea freight volume today, too, so that KWE becomes the most attractive logistics partner for our customers.
